Just to start the discussion, some time ago I captured Life Barrier elite and urgenly needed to infuse my armor. I play Mo/Me and for the run I decided to try my new elite. So I dressed as a bonder and looked for a group. And I ended up in a group of 7 necros

) I put LB on every1 and so we run. And I should tell you, we run like the wind blows

That was the blood sucking run with lot's of minions. Perhaps the best PUG I ever been to.

4 warriors, 4 monks into FoW. We dropped every groups of monsters faster than any group I had ever been in before. Funny thing was, we were all w/mo and all using swords!

Also that I recruited one of my first members from that group who as a result is the reason I even have members to this day.

We were rebels, we'd challenged the system and won, we'd never again be stuck at the back of a group answering to the yells of 'Heal' and 'Res', we defined ourselves as fighters, as men of legends.

This picture was taken the second round after we had beaten a r184 guild.
This is a all blind invite PUG group and as soon as I had accepted, he pressed the start mission button. Well i thought for myself: 1 fame round ftw right? :P
(This is the truth, I don't care if you think I'm lying.)

We also took down a 2 trapper, 2 necro 4 w/r Iway team.

yeah i love doing crazy buidls at thunderhead , we did this insane build

2 monks (me monky)
2 bip/blood ritual necros
4 trappers

it was hilarious we owned! it was so easy once we got the fort , just had 2 trappers and 1 necro and 1 monk at each door ....lol it was great.

One of my guildies (Ranger primary) needed to do the RoF Mission, and I had promised to help. I'm having a blast playing my SS/MM Necro, so I party up and become the leader. Ranger and a Necro... good luck getting a group, right? Suddenly I start getting requests to join the group and I accept just about everyone... when I realize that we now had a group of 4 Rangers, 1 Monk, 1 Necro. I advertise for a tank, and suddenly i have another healer and a tank.

One of the monks is skeptical, but we start anyway, and the mission was done in a matter of minutes. We were all pleased and patting ourselves on the back. Since Abaddon's Mouth was next - we agreed to stick together and PWN that mission too... well, after i hit start mission the tank and one of the monks bailed. We danced to our deaths and tried again. Immediately a pair of monks joins us, and we ask if one of the three monks wants to smite for fun. The pair leaves us, and advertise in Local Chat that they are available, but not for NOOB TEAMS. We all had a hearty laugh at that. We advertised that our AWESOME team just completed RoF in record time, and we need a new tank and healer. The ranger requests came pouring in... but i held out for a tank and healer and we started, and completed Abaddons with just a little trouble, but it was great! Probably one of the best PUGs that I've been in for a while.

was in a tombs group, we had a w/mo with mending >.> he said he dident ned helaing. so we agreed with the other team they could kill him first, then we ressed him, he got kileld again, rressed him, then got killed again.

once he had 60 DP we started the real fight, we even won

My first character, a R/N, got into a PUG at Hell's Precipice with (if I remember correctly), three other rangers, a W/R, a nuker, a N/Mo and Mehnlo. No human monk primary. All the rangers and the W/R took traps.

It was late, it was my first attempt at Hell's Precipice, and it was a motley crew. But it was a classic I'll always remember.

We trapped and trapped, almost got wiped out three times, we were backtracking to fight monsters to wipe out DP. But, two and a half hours later, we cleared it. We had to go back and kill bosses to reset res signets to get the rest of the party back.

We laughed, we cried. We cheered each other when the Lich died for the third and final time (didn't know about keeping him on the *exact* center at that point).

I've been in a lot of really great PUGs, but that one will always be a good memory for me.

4 BeastMastery builds that got lumped together in CA (3 rangers and meself..an E/R)...no Iway involved. Due to the negativity regarding BM you just don't see many people trying them.

We flawlessed to (as I remember it) 14 victories. Casters just did not have a chance with 4 disrupting lunge pets on them......they got mowed.....

Abbadon's Mouth with four people. A monk, an ele, a necro and me, the mesmer. That's it. The other monk and all the tanks quit on us, yet we somehow beat that mission. Go figure.

Another one was in THK, where all the tanks quit (again), leaving us with an ele, two monks, and a ranger (me). We'd just gotten inside the city too. Nevertheless, the four of us went on to clear the entire city, and finally died trying to defend the keep against the mursaat.

The common thread for all of us in those PUGs: Death before dishonor, er, quitting.
